UPDATE: Following the online vote, the name of the baby monkey was chosen. The little baboon from the Hunedoara Zoo will be called Mambo.

The Zoo in the city of Hunedoara in Transylvania, Romania, has recently become the home of a new baby monkey who is in need of a name.
Three years ago, Gusti the Baboon’s spell of loneliness finally came to an end. Maia, a gorgeous female whom the local council purchased from the Targu Mures Zoo, entered his “home” in the Hunedoara Zoo. Of course, to wash away his loneliness.
After some time spent breaking the ice and a truly simian love story, the two have become the parents of a little female monkey whom the Zoo staff have named Ina.
Actually, Ina the Baboon is the name chosen by users following the Zoo’s Facebook page.
This week, however, the Hamadryas baboon family from the Hunedoara Zoo has grown once more. It seems that for a few days now, Ina the Baboon has a little brother.
The caretakers say that the little one is a darling, and that Maia, his mum, never lets go of him. Ina the Baboon, his little sister, is wild with excitement, especially since she was seen playing and jumping around all day long. If truth be told, she might also be a bit jealous, trying to distract her busy parents’ attention from the youngest member of the family.
In a few months, the two baby baboons will be playmates, but until then, there’s an issue which requires attention: how shall the little baboon be called?
The Zoo’s staff have challenged online users. Until now, the names put forward are:
– Mambo
– Bubu
– Coco
How would you name the little monkey?
